Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Fontana Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you email or otherwise contact the operators, the message and any details you include are used to answer it and to handle the request.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service may record an IP address, browser type, viewed URL, referrer, and time of access. These ordinary server logs help detect faults, protect availability, and measure use in aggregate. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where those services are enabled.
How the Data Is Used
Limited technical and contact information is used to run the reference, answer messages, fix errors, understand traffic, and improve the wording or links. The operators do not sell a visitor list or build an individual profile from ordinary page use.
Links Beyond Fontana Directory
Pages link to San Bernardino County ARC, the City of Fontana, California voter tools, court portals, libraries, archives, and third-party search providers. Each outside service has its own privacy terms. Information entered on an external portal is governed by that portal, including sponsored search results.
Who May Process Technical Data
Hosting, analytics, security, and advertising vendors may process the limited server information needed for their services. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. The operators do not disclose contact content for unrelated purposes.
Security Measures
The service is intended to run over an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only as long as the operating purpose requires, subject to ordinary backups and provider retention. There are no site accounts, passwords, or resident profiles for an attacker to access here.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent information may use the Contact page to request review and deletion.
California Privacy Choices
California's Consumer Privacy Act, including Civil Code sections 1798.100 and following, provides rights that can include knowing or accessing, correcting, deleting subject to exceptions, opting out of sale or sharing, and limiting sensitive-information use. Data-broker rules appear in Civil Code sections 1798.99.80 through 1798.99.89 and the DELETE Act. The state DROP program is a separate route for requests to participating brokers.
Because this service keeps little data, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by California, San Bernardino County, or Fontana are outside the operators' control. A request to remove a deed, court entry, voter record, or certificate belongs with its custodian.
Policy Changes
Updates will be posted here with a revised date or wording. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy to the extent allowed by law.
